Megan Thee Stallion Announces New Album at Atlanta Concert

“MEGAN” will be released on June 28, the rapper announced Sunday in front of a packed house at State Farm Arena.

ATLANTA — Megan Thee Stallion fans are in for a surprise at her postponed concert in Atlanta on Sunday, as the rapper announced the release date for her highly anticipated new album, “MEGAN.” This announcement comes after the concert, originally scheduled for June 1, had to be postponed due to major water main breaks in the city.

“MEGAN,” which will be released on June 28, will follow her critically acclaimed 2020 debut album “Good News,” which included hits like “Savage” and “Body.” The rapper announced the surprise with a post on X on Friday, saying there would be a “special announcement” at the show before it was moved.

After Megan announced the news to a sold-out crowd at State Farm Arena, a QR code was displayed alongside a special image on the giant screens, according to Billboard, allowing attendees to pre-save the album Hot Girl Productions.

A second show, originally scheduled for June 1, will take place at State Farm Arena on Monday, June 3, after being postponed due to ongoing water issues.

The “Big Ole Freak” rapper spoke out multiple times throughout the weekend about the city’s response to the water main break and apologized to fans for the inconvenience.

“Call the mayor!” All day they told us we could perform,” the rapper said in a video she posted on Saturday.

Despite all these issues, fans in Atlanta and around the world are marking their calendars and eagerly awaiting the self-proclaimed H-town Hottie’s sophomore album.
