You may remember that she first addressed her sexuality during an Instagram AMA in 2022. After someone asked if she liked “boys or girls,” Ava wrote, “I’m attracted to… people! (Gender doesn’t matter.)”

You would think that would be clear enough, but apparently people were Despite it confused (some didn’t understand that she meant gender didn’t matter, i.e. she didn’t care), so Ava quickly went online to clear things up once and for all.

On Instagram, she wrote: “Once upon a time there was a girl on the internet who said, ‘Gender doesn’t matter’ in reference to her own sexuality. Many took her words out of context, but she knew what she meant.”

“Anyway, this is her contribution to the first day of Pride Month 2024,” Ava continued, captioning the post with a photo of herself waving a rainbow scarf.

She also wished “my LGBTQ+ family” and the haters a “Happy Pride Month” in the comments of a subsequent IG story.
