1 shot, killed in East Charlotte apartment complex, police say – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE – One person was shot and killed at an east Charlotte apartment complex Sunday morning, police said.

At around 5 a.m., officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were called to Winged Elm Court near Albemarle Road. When they arrived, they found someone who had been shot.

The victim died at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

The investigators did not provide any information about a manhunt for a suspect.

Police are still investigating the case and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
