Great Wolf Lodge’s latest location will open sooner than expected.

Located in Houston, Texas, United States, construction of the new facility began two years ago, at an expected cost of US$200 million. This will be the second location in the state after the Grapevine location opened in 2007.

Guests of the 532-room resort will have no shortage of entertainment options, with a 92,000 square foot indoor water park and 61,000 square foot FEC on-site. The FEC will contain an indoor ropes course, a 150-foot zipline and a MagiQuest location.

MagiQuest is a live-action role-playing game, in which guests choose a magic wand and embark on quests, collecting magical items and learning runes to defeat their enemies. The attraction is available at a number of Great Wolf Lodges and elsewhere across the country.

The new opening date for Great Wolf Lodge Houston is August 29.
