A crash on I-95 has northbound lanes closed in Broward near Griffin Road – NBC 6 South Florida

A motorcycle accident on Interstate 95 in Broward County caused major traffic delays for commuters Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred just before 8:30 a.m. in the northbound lane of I-95 near Griffin Road

Chopper 6 was over the scene when Florida Highway Patrol troopers and Florida Department of Transportation personnel responded.

Crews set up traffic cones around the motorcycle and a damaged white sedan was also seen nearby.

Cameras also captured major traffic jams in the northbound lanes. Alternative routes include US 441 or Federal Highway.

The lanes were reopened later that morning.

NBC6 is working to determine if there were any injuries and what may have caused the crash.
