9 Arrested After Attempting to Smuggle Drones, Meth and Ecstasy into GA Jail – WSB-TV Channel 2

DAVISBORO, Ga. — Nine people were behind bars after attempting to bring contraband into Washington State Prison.

Within six days, the Georgia Department of Corrections, along with Washington State Prison, arrested nine people and seized illegal items.

“The flow of contraband poses a serious threat to the safety of our communities,” the sheriff’s office said.

The contraband included seven pounds of marijuana, two pounds of methamphetamine, seven pounds of tobacco, two pounds of ecstasy (MDMA), three drones and fifteen cell phones.

Arrested and charged were:

  • Lonnie Moore, 32, of Hephzibah, Georgia, is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony;

  • Tereance Horne, 37, of Union City, Georgia, is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, using unmanned aircraft to commit violations, crossing security lines with weapons, intoxicants or drugs, and conspiracy to commit a felony accused.
