Tallahassee man arrested for allegedly hitting and killing a cyclist last July

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man is behind bars following a fatal hit-and-run accident last July.

Jerry Bridges is accused of leaving the scene of a fatal accident and driving under the influence of alcohol. According to arrest records, his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit and he was also found to have THC in his blood.

Investigators say Bridges struck cyclist Joseph Browning on West Tennessee Street near Aenon Church Road last year.

Police found Bridges a few kilometers from the crash site.
