Harris’s vice presidential election draws closer; Trump attacks “border czars”

Trump spent much of his rally in Minnesota criticizing Biden – even though he is no longer Trump’s opponent in 2024.

The rally often mirrored his campaign rallies before the assassination and the start of Harris’ campaign.

Before an enthusiastic crowd, Trump mocked Biden’s golf game, cognitive ability and performance at events. He criticized his former opponent’s son, Hunter Biden, and insulted the president. Trump mocked Biden’s walk, which sauntered across the stage to show Biden was incapable of leaving an event.

Even as he attacked Harris, Trump himself seemed to allude to the constants that have endured over the last month despite the seismic upheaval in the 2024 presidential race. The former president spoke at his rally in Pennsylvania about the assassination attempt, a life-or-death experience that could be transformative for many. But Trump said he has not changed since the attack.

“They all say, ‘I think he’s changed. I think he’s changed since two weeks ago. Something affected him,'” Trump said, referring to the assassination attempt. “No, I haven’t changed. Maybe I’ve gotten worse because I get angry about the incompetence that I see every day, about the way millions of people are pouring into our country.”
