Man shot dead in north Long Beach – Press Telegram

A man was killed in a broad daylight shooting in north Long Beach on Tuesday, July 23. Police are currently investigating to identify a suspect or suspects, authorities said.

At about 1:30 p.m., officers were called to the 5900 block of Lime Avenue, a block from the Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library, about the shooting and found the victim, Long Beach police spokeswoman Alyssa Baeza said. He died at the scene.

The identity of the victim was not publicly disclosed by police until his relatives were notified.
