Cuban man accused of sexual exploitation of minors

A Cuban man accused of sexually abusing a minor last month has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.

Shane Mullins, 29, was indicted by a Phelps County grand jury on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The indictment states that Mullins pulled down the victim’s pants and exposed her and recorded two different digital videos.

Mullins already faces two counts of seduction or attempted seduction of a child, one count of sodomy or attempted sodomy with a person under 14 years of age, and one count of third-degree sexual battery of a child.

Mullins was arrested by Rolla police on May 29.

According to the statement of suspicion, a juvenile victim who was “extremely intoxicated” was taken to the hospital for possible sexual assault.

The victim was found lying in the back seat of a vehicle with Mullins on top of him. The victim “didn’t remember much” and claimed Mullins got her drunk.

During the investigation, the victim’s sister said Mullins had also touched her inappropriately.

The second victim was forensically interviewed on June 11 and stated that Mullins gave them alcohol and physically touched them.

Both cases reportedly occurred in the first two weeks of May.

Mullins knew the victim’s age and asked him several times not to say anything.
