Small child killed, 2 others injured in car crash in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A young child is dead and two others were injured after they were hit by a car in Philadelphia on Saturday night.

It happened shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of North Front Street and East Wyoming Avenue.

According to police, three women were crossing the street on Wyoming Avenue when they were struck by a car traveling north on Front Street.

According to authorities, a one-year-old girl was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The other two victims, a young adult and a 31-year-old, were taken to Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.

Authorities told Action News that the driver was still at the scene after the collision.

The police said that the cause of the accident is still being investigated. No further information is available about the driver.

There is also no information yet about the child’s identity.
