Israeli UN Ambassador Erdan files complaint with UN Security Council over Houthi attack

Israel’s UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan submitted an urgent letter of complaint to the UN Security Council on Friday after the Houthis launched a drone strike in Tel Aviv that killed one person and injured ten.

Ambassador Erdan stressed that the Houthi attacks on Israel were part of Iran’s use of proxies to attack Israel.

“Since October 7, the Houthis have fired hundreds of rockets and drones at Israel, in direct violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2216,” said Ambassador Erdan.

“I call on the Security Council to strongly condemn the Houthi attack on Israel and to take sanctions and other measures against the Houthi before they lead to further escalation and crisis throughout the region.”
