Man from Bedias dies in accident

BEDIAS – A 57-year-old man from Bedias was killed in a car accident near CR 131 in Bedias on Tuesday evening.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sargent Justin Ruiz said a 2013 Cadillac SRX was traveling westbound on Crossroad Drive approaching the Y-intersection that leads to CR 131. The vehicle drove straight through the intersection, went through a fence and struck a tree.

Michael Gardner was pronounced dead. Grimes County Justice of the Peace Christopher Acord was on scene.
