Heavy rain and showers are expected in San Antonio from Sunday through Wednesday

SAN ANTONIO – The KENS 5 Weather Team has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Sunday through Wednesday as heavy rain and showers are expected in the region.

According to meteorologist Paul Mireles, precipitation will be 40 to 60 percent from Sunday to Thursday.

What you need to know – The weather could affect your morning and afternoon commute as well as your planned outdoor activities.

In the next few days, maximum temperatures will be around 35 degrees Celsius under partly cloudy skies and temperatures that are normal for this time of year. A weak frontal boundary could bring isolated to isolated thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday afternoon.

By Sunday, another cold front combined with a low pressure system at altitude will bring a 40 to 60% chance of rain through Wednesday. Temperatures will be below average at just over 35 degrees early next week. Isolated rain should continue through Thursday and Friday next week.
