At the weekend it will be significantly cooler and significantly less humid.

Buresh said severe to severe storms will move across southeast Georgia through early evening, with the threat of damaging winds, possibly a single tornado.

From approximately 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. there is a chance of a few storms in the Jacksonville metropolitan area and northeast Florida. There are likely to be weaker but still a few strong storms with gusty winds, heavy rain and lightning.

Hot temperatures in the 90s are helping fuel the storms as the same front that brought severe weather last night and Wednesday is to the north and west.

Further isolated storms are expected for Friday with renewed great danger.
