The calm after the storms, spectacular spring weather

UNTIL FRIDAY:

The rain is gone, but the rivers will continue to swell thanks to the inflow of water from the tributaries. The Cumberland River near Nashville is expected to reach minor flooding tomorrow morning. The peak will be reached around midday tomorrow. There is currently severe flooding and is expected to continue on the Red River at Port Royal (along the Montgomery/Robertson County line).

Tonight will be clear and pleasant, with a low near 60.

Tomorrow afternoon looks partly cloudy, windy and much cooler. High, 70. Probability of scatter, 20%. The best chance for a passing shower or shower will be east of I-24 on Friday.

THIS WEEKEND:

Saturday will be very pleasant. Expect a cool start in the low 50s. High, 76.

Sunday/Mother’s Day looks beautiful! Low 52. High 80 with sunshine.

Occasional showers and thunderstorms are forecast every day for the next week.

The chance of rain is highest on Monday and Tuesday.
