3 Arrested for raping a woman after forcing her to drink alcohol

Hyderabad: Three people were arrested on suspicion of raping a woman after forcibly giving her alcohol within the Alwal police station premises on Tuesday.

According to Rahul Dev, circle inspector of Alwal, the woman, who was returning home from work late Friday night, was allegedly threatened and taken to a remote place where she was raped by Sai Kiran, who was assisted by the other two accused, Saleem and Nani.

The victim had stopped at a bar in Lothkunta where Saleem met the victim. He tried to get her attention but failed.

Nani then asked the victim, who was travelling in an autorickshaw, to give him a lift. Nani accompanied the victim in the tricycle while the other two followed them, according to the intelligence agency. Nani, who was carrying a beer bottle, broke it and threatened the victim and the autorickshaw driver in a remote place.

After forcing the driver to drive away, Sai Kiran took the victim some distance away and raped her, CI Rahul Dev said.

Before the crime, the accused is said to have forced her to drink alcohol on the night of Friday to Saturday so that she could not defend herself, police said.

According to CI, the accused were working as autorickshaw drivers. A case was registered and the accused were produced before the court.
