Des Moines police are investigating a stabbing incident that left a woman hospitalized Sunday afternoon.

According to DMPD, the incident occurred in the 5500 block of Southeast 14th Street. An adult female victim was en route to the hospital just before 1 p.m. Police say a possible suspect is in custody and the incident remains under investigation.
