‘Sex And The City’ stars respond to Chris Noth’s sexual harassment allegations

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have responded to allegations of sexual assault against their former “Sex and the City” co-star Chris Noth.

“We are deeply saddened by the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences,” the women said in a joint statement posted on social media on Monday. “We know this must be very difficult and we commend them for doing so.”

Last week, the Hollywood Reporter published a report detailing accounts from two women who said they were raped by Noth in two separate incidents more than a decade apart. Both women said they were triggered by the promotion of the “Sex and the City” reboot “And Just Like That…” in which Noth reprises his role as Carrie Bradshaw’s husband, known as Mr. Big. The character died of a fatal heart attack at the show’s premiere, just days before the report was published.

A third woman then came forward. Noth denied all allegations.

Since then, he has been stripped of several professional opportunities. Peloton promptly pulled a Christmas ad featuring his character. On Monday, he was fired from the CBS crime drama “The Equalizer,” and a deal to acquire his tequila brand also reportedly fell through.
