Man arrested in Winston, woman charged after road rage incident in Roseburg | Local

ROSEBURG, Oregon – An 18-year-old Winston man was arrested and an 18-year-old Roseburg woman was charged following a road rage incident that occurred Tuesday night in Roseburg, according to Roseburg police.

RPD officials said police responded to a two-motorist incident shortly before 6 p.m. on July 9. Two suspects, identified as Macy Kaye Doschades, who were in a 2010 Honda Civic at the time, were allegedly involved in an incident of driving aggression with the occupants of a 2024 Honda Accord. According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Douglas County District Court, Doschades was driving on NW Stewart Parkway when the Accord pulled up next to her and a rear seat passenger allegedly made an offensive gesture in her direction. Doschades then followed the vehicle to the intersection of NW Stewart Parkway and NW Garden Valley, where one of the vehicle’s occupants allegedly fired an Orby gel ball gun at Doschades’ car, according to the affidavit.

According to police, Doschades and Irvin followed the Accord until it stopped on West Harrison Street, then confronted the occupants. Doschades allegedly climbed onto the hood of the victims’ car with a rock in her hand and allegedly threatened to smash the windshield and kill the car’s occupants, according to authorities and the affidavit. The officer’s report states that while Doschades was being dragged from the hood of the victim’s vehicle, she was bitten by a resident’s dog who had responded to the commotion. According to police, Irvin then allegedly spit on the passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and then allegedly kicked one of the vehicle’s taillights, breaking it.

Doschades was later contacted by police at Mercy Medical Center, where she was being treated for a dog bite injury, authorities said. Police officials said Doschades admitted to her actions and was cited and released at the hospital. Irvin told police he lost his composure because of the victims’ allegedly offensive gestures toward his girlfriend and the fact that they shot at her car with a gel pellet gun, the officer’s report said.

Irvin was arrested and taken to the Douglas County Jail, where he is charged with second-degree criminal damage to property, according to police court records. Jail records show he was released on July 10, 2024. Irvin is scheduled to go to trial on July 15, according to court records.
