Shooting in Goodyear leaves one dead and one arrested

GOODYEAR, Arizona. – One person was killed in a shooting near Estrella Parkway and Tanglewood Drive in Goodyear, police said.

Goodyear Police Sergeant Sean Tyler said one person was arrested in connection with the incident.

Police are investigating and have arrested one person after finding a dead person in a home in Goodyear.

Tyler said police were alerted to a shooting at around 4:51 p.m. on July 6 and are still investigating the incident.

According to a press release, there is no active threat to the surrounding community.
