Woman cheated and sexually abused by her spouse

A 27-year-old woman from Uppal was allegedly cheated and sexually assaulted by a man she met through a matrimonial website. The suspect, 30-year-old M. Rajashekhar, and the woman met through a matrimonial website and became friends.

According to police, after she promised to marry him, the man took her to his photo studio on June 24 and sexually abused her there. When she later asked him about marriage, he avoided her.

Based on the complaint of the victim, an FIR was registered in Uppal without an FIR and later the case was transferred to SR Nagar police station for further investigation. SR Nagar police have registered a case and started investigation.
