BJP: Suspend Owaisi over Palestine remark in LS

Hyderabad: BJP official spokesperson and media in-charge NV Subhash said that AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi should be suspended for his “Jai Palestine” remark in Parliament during his inauguration. He said the MP could have expressed his support to Muslims of another country in another forum if he wanted to.

In a press release, he stated, “Owaisi cares least about the welfare of his own community in the country. He used Parliament, a temple of Indian democracy, to get cheap publicity. The swearing-in ceremony is a sacred event.”

He added that Rahul Gandhi had tried to impress the foreign media by speaking in English. His address in Hindi would have at least made his voters in Raebareli happy,” he said.
