Rape: Man arrested for raping his niece in Shamshabad | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping his minor niece in Shamshabad. On June 22, when he was in a compromising situation with the girl at home, her brother caught them red-handed and handed over the accused to the police. A rape case has been registered against him under section IPC and POCSO Act. He was arrested on Sunday and remanded in custody, RGIA police said. The accused met the 14-year-old girl at a family function and since then he was in regular touch with her. On the pretext of visiting her parents, the accused started behaving intimately with her. Her parents noticed this and warned him to stay away from her. However, he continued to stay in touch with her and visited her whenever her parents were not at home. Police said they had a physical relationship and he came to her home and allegedly raped her.tnn
