Man found dead on side of I-10 in Santa Rosa County: FHP

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a road ranger found a man slumped in a car on the side of Interstate 10 in Santa Rosa County before he was pronounced dead.

According to a press release from the FHP, around 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, the Road Ranger noticed a Dodge Ram parked on the eastbound shoulder of I-10 near mile marker 20.

The Road Ranger stopped and checked the truck and found a man slumped over. The release states that when the Road Ranger could not wake him, he called emergency services and FHP headquarters.

A Florida police officer arrived at the scene and smashed a window of the truck. Santa Rosa County paramedics arrived and found the man dead, the news release said.
