Police ask for information after 8 people were shot in Dayton overnight

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) – Police are asking for information after several people were shot, at least one fatally, early Monday morning.

Dayton Police Sgt. Creigee S. Coleman said officers responded to a shooting call on Gordon Avenue and the intersection of Home and Euclid Avenues around 1 a.m. on June 24. Officers said they found one person dead and seven others injured

Coleman said they are asking for information about the incident to find out who is responsible.

The sergeant said police and firefighters rushed to the scene to assist the injured, although there was a possibility that fires were still burning at the scene.

Coleman said evidence recovered a large number of shell casings and that both juveniles and adults may have been involved in the shooting.

Dayton police search for suspect after shooting left seven injured and one dead

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — Eight people were shot and one killed in an early morning shooting, according to Dayton police.

The shooting occurred in several locations in west Dayton, with one scene taking place near Gordon Avenue.

One suspect is still at large. The police have not released any information about the condition of the person shot and the person killed.
