I went to Kissena Park where girl, 13, raped as a child

PHILADELPHIA (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Donald Trump, who grew up in Queens, mentioned the shocking June 13 rape of a 13-year-old girl in the borough’s Kissena Park at his rally in Philadelphia on Saturday night, telling supporters he used to ride his bike there from his home in Jamaica Estates.

The suspect, Christian Inga, 25, an Ecuadorian migrant living in Queens, was charged on June 19 with first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, sexual assault and other offenses for “attacking two 13-year-olds who were in Kissena Park (in Flushing) on the afternoon of June 13. He allegedly held them at knifepoint in a wooded area, tied the boy and girl’s hands together, and then raped the girl,” said Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.

After the two children were attacked, the NYPD put up signs in Kissena Park asking for rewards.

The stunned former president told the crowd of thousands at Temple University’s Liacouras Center: “A machete! In broad daylight! And like a scene from a horror movie, he drove her into the woods, tied her wrists and raped the young girl in a park in Queens.”

Trump, who will debate President Joe Biden at CNN’s Atlanta studios on Thursday, said the attack affected him personally.

“It’s a park that I grew up next to… You know, I used to go to this park and ride my bike as a kid – I was a kid too. Can you believe it?” he said, laughing.

“My mother loved me, but she always said, ‘Be home at a certain time now.’
You know, I drove there. I did that … for years. I never thought anything could happen,” Trump, who will be sentenced in his hush money trial in New York on July 11, said. “If you go to a park near your house right now, you have a very good chance of ever seeing your child again.”
