Shooting in Rancho Cordova leaves three injured

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Authorities said three people were injured and hospitalized in a shooting Friday night in Rancho Cordova.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said two men and a woman were shot outside Diamond Billiards Rancho Cordova around 8 p.m. after the shooting was initially reported to be down the street in the area of ​​Folsom Boulevard and Routier Road. All three victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Sergeant Amar Gandhi, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said there was some sort of confrontation before the shooting occurred.

He says 15 to 20 shots were fired, but more precise numbers will become available as the investigation progresses.

At least one person is currently under arrest and was found further down the road at a gas station on Folsom Boulevard and Routier Road. The investigation is ongoing, but no further information is available at this time.
