Chandreka Graham identified as woman found dead in Richland County home

On Friday, the Richland County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 31-year-old Chandreka D. Graham of Columbia.

COLUMBIA, SC — Authorities have released the name of a woman found dead in a Richland County home Wednesday.

According to previous reports from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, officers were called to a home on Northfield Court off Longtown Road around 11 a.m. when someone looked into the home and saw the victim lying unconscious on the floor.

Officers forced their way into the home and found that the victim had suffered significant head injuries. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

On Friday, the Richland County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 31-year-old Chandreka D. Graham of Columbia. The coroner’s office described Graham’s manner of death as a homicide but did not provide a cause of death.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department had previously announced it had identified a suspect, but would not name him or say where he was being held. The sheriff’s department said he would be taken into custody and charged with murder upon his release.

At this time, the Sheriff’s Department stated that there was no danger to the community.
