Car crash with three injured on Swenson Road | News

A three-car crash at Swenson Road and U.S. Highway 395 caused the highway to be closed to traffic in both directions for approximately five hours on Sunday, June 8. According to the Washington State Patrol, Kristopher Lott of Spokane Valley was traveling southbound at approximately 5:30 p.m. and was waiting to turn left onto Swenson Road when he was struck in the left rear of his vehicle by Emily Kron of Spokane. Kron’s vehicle continued in the northbound lane and was struck in the right front by the vehicle driven by Josie Mizoguchi of Spokane.

Kron’s passengers, Makenna Eads and Maximilian Tukey, were injured and taken to the hospital by emergency responders. The northbound driver, Mizoguchi, was also transported. All three drivers were wearing seat belts, while the passengers in Kron’s vehicle were not. Kron, Kron’s passenger Adaecia Conley and Lott left the scene in personal vehicles and it is unknown if medical attention was sought.
