Rochester man to appear in court on charges of sexual assault and probation violation – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester man is scheduled to appear in Mower County District Court Friday to face sentencing and a probation violation for sexual assault.

Trenton Charles Erickson, formerly of Taopi, then known as Stewartville, was previously sentenced to probation for the rape of a teenager at a house party in 2022.

His sentencing for the rape of a second teenager at the same party was scheduled for June 21.

Rochester police arrested Erickson in May on charges of fifth-degree sexual abuse – sexual contact without consent – after a woman told police he repeatedly groped her and made sexual advances during a social event.

Erickson is currently being held at the Olmsted County ADC on $200,000 bail with or without conditions.

The Mower County Jail requested Erickson’s transfer prior to his June 21 sentencing hearing for violating probation.

His next hearing on the fifth-degree sexual abuse charge has not yet been scheduled, but the Olmsted County District Attorney’s Office has filed a motion for an enhanced, or harsher, sentence than usual because Erickson’s two other sexual abuse convictions are still pending.
