Victim of a robbery in Oxnard hit by several cars and killed

OXNARD, Calif. (KABC) – Police are investigating the death of a man who was attacked by a group of people in Oxnard and then run over by several cars.

The incident occurred Sunday night on East Hueneme Road. Oxnard police said they received multiple reports of a fight between several people.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 50s or 60s lying dead in the street. His identity has not been released.

Witnesses said the victim was attacked by several people before they fled the scene. The man was then hit by passing cars.

The two drivers who hit the man remained at the scene of the accident. It is unclear whether other cars hit him.

It is unclear whether the victim died from injuries sustained in the attack.
