Police: Driver seriously injured in accident north of Toledo

The car crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Monday in north Toledo near Manhattan Boulevard and Blanchard Street, according to a Toledo police sergeant.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries following a one-car crash in north Toledo Monday night, police said.

The accident at the intersection of West Manhattan Boulevard and Blanchard Street occurred around 8:10 p.m., according to a Toledo police sergeant at the scene.

Police found the driver, an adult, unconscious in his vehicle after the accident. Further details about his condition are currently unknown.

Police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
