Police investigate possible murder-suicide after finding woman dead in Milliken home – Greeley Tribune

Police are investigating a suspected domestic violence-related murder-suicide after finding a woman dead inside a home in Milliken on Tuesday.

Police believe they found the murder suspect dead from an apparent gunshot wound later that day in Laramie, Wyoming, according to a statement from Milliken police.

Around 12 p.m. Tuesday, Milliken police responded to the 1400 block of Farmland Lane for a report of a shooting. The police entered the house and found a dead woman inside.

The county coroner is working to identify the woman found in Milliken and will release that information after notifying next of kin.

Police say there is no threat to Milliken or other communities in Weld County.

Officers from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Johnstown Police Department, Mead Police Department and Platteville Police Department also responded, according to the news release.

Police say no further information will be released while the death investigation continues. They are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the Milliken Police Department at (970) 660-5012.
