JPD investigates Friday night shooting incident on Fayette Street – WLDS

Jacksonville police are investigating a report of shots fired in the city last night.

Officers responded to the area near the intersection of Anna Street and South Fayette Street around 5:30 p.m. Friday after a caller reported to West Central Joint Dispatch that they had been shot at.

According to a Jacksonville Police report, the shots were fired in the 700 block of South Fayette. Multiple people and vehicles were affected. No injuries were reported and there was no known property damage at the time of the report.
