CHARLOTTE, NC (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Seven dogs died in a house fire that broke out in north Charlotte Wednesday night, the Charlotte Fire Department confirmed Thursday.

The Charlotte Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1500 block of Clooney Lane, off Rumple Road, around 9:15 p.m. Firefighters reported heavy fire coming from the two-story home.

The CFD video shows that the front of the house is completely charred and that two cars parked in the driveway are also damaged.

30 firefighters were needed to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes. There were no injuries among civilians or emergency personnel.

The cause of the fire was suspected to be an accident due to an electrical problem in the garage.
