Woman arrested for drug possession 300 meters from a school

Alice Marie Coffey, 46, of Grantman Circle in Lenoir, was arrested by Lenoir police officers on Sunday (June 9). She was charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances and manufacturing, selling or delivering controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school. Coffey was also charged with maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances, carrying a concealed weapon, simple possession of Schedule 4 controlled substances, simple possession of Schedule 5 controlled substances and simple possession of Schedule 6 controlled substances. She was held in the Caldwell County Detention Center on $60,000 bail. At the time of this report, she was scheduled to appear in District Court on June 10.
