SEATTLE – Five teenagers were arrested in Seattle on Tuesday after multiple carjackings and a police pursuit.

A group consisting of two 12-year-olds, a 13-year-old and two 15-year-olds had reportedly been stealing cars throughout the city throughout the day.

Around 4 p.m., a Seattle police officer spotted one of the stolen vehicles and began pursuing it in North Seattle. SWAT and the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter assisted Seattle Police in determining the suspects’ location during the chase.

The pursuit ended at Northwest 80th Street and 15th Avenue Northwest when the group encountered another car. No injuries were reported as a result of this collision.

Three of the suspects were immediately arrested, one was taken into custody after a short foot chase and another was located by Guardian One near the scene and then taken into custody.

Seattle police say the group is suspected of a months-long crime spree that includes robbery, assault, vehicle robbery and car theft.
