Sunday night shooting in South Peoria remains under investigation

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) – Peoria police continue to investigate a shooting in South Peoria that occurred late Sunday night.

The victim was shot in the leg and taken to a nearby hospital with injuries the department described as “non-life threatening.”

The shooting occurred shortly before 10 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Friedan Street, which is located within the Harrison Homes.
