Concord Monitor – Boscawen police search for hit-and-run driver of girl on Queen Street Tuesday night

Boscawen Police are searching for the driver of a dark sedan who struck and injured an 8-year-old girl on Queen Street on Tuesday evening.

According to Boscawen Police Corporal Elizabeth Murray, the driver was traveling faster than the speed limit toward Penacook when he or she struck the girl in the back of 334 Queen Street at approximately 8:55 p.m. and immediately sped off in a southeasterly direction toward Penacook.

The girl was taken to Concord Hospital with “possibly serious internal injuries,” Murray said. The injuries are not life-threatening, but her current condition is unknown, Murray said.

The impact with the girl caused the car to lose its passenger side mirror and sustain damage in the same area, according to debris police found at the scene.

Anyone in the area with surveillance footage or further details is asked to contact Murray at 603-753-9124 or [email protected].
