Man accused of sexually abusing a child in Washington County | News

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Oklahoma – Thomas Faris is charged in Washington County with four counts of child sexual abuse and one count of sexual abuse after allegedly sexually abusing a child with whom he had a close relationship over a period of nearly ten years.

According to court documents, the sexual abuse began in 2015, when the victim was five years old, with the most recent crime occurring in March 2024.

The victim’s sibling found “troubling” photos when searching Faris’ phone with his permission. Police executed a search warrant for the phone and found more photos.

According to an affidavit, the victim told police that Faris touched her inappropriately and raped her in his bedroom with the door locked.

The victim’s sibling told police that the victim was sleeping in Faris’ room.

Faris was questioned by police in April 2024 and denied ever touching the victim inappropriately.

Faris was arrested and his bail was set at $150,000.

His next court date is June 21.
