1 dead and 4 injured after three shootings in Paterson

One person died and four others were injured in three shootings in Paterson on Sunday, Mayor Andre Sayegh said.

A 44-year-old man was shot at the corner of Chadwick Street and Weiss Street, according to police. He was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead.

Authorities said a 21-year-old man was also shot on Sassafras Street.

The third shooting occurred on Main Street.
