Woman killed in Huntington Beach murder

The Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD) is investigating a homicide that left a woman dead Friday afternoon, said Jessica Cuchilla, HBPD spokeswoman.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., HBPD officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of England Street. Upon entering the home, they discovered the body of a woman and called the HBPD Major Crimes Unit.


Investigators arriving at the scene believe it was a murder. At this point, no suspect has been identified.

The HBPD believes there is no threat to the community. As the investigation continues, the HBPD is working closely with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s Coroner’s Unit and Crime Lab.

The investigation is still ongoing and no further details are currently available.
