Woman denied justice after rape fugitive Rossi extradited to US

A woman who claims she was raped by a fugitive who faked his own death says she was denied justice after police said they would take no further action against him.

Michelle Minnaar, 42, a food blogger and photographer, has waived her right to anonymity to claim Nicholas Rossi forced himself on her after moving into her Essex home in 2017.

Rossi, 36, was extradited to the US in January to face separate rape charges, more than two years after his arrest in the Covid ward of a Glasgow hospital.

Rossi, from Rhode Island, claimed to be an Irish-born academic named Arthur Knight, but a Scottish court found him a liar and a fantasist.

His deportation was discovered by police in Essex.
