Group of children attacked several people in Philly last week – NBC10 Philadelphia

According to a Philadelphia police spokesman, an investigation is ongoing after a group of teenagers attacked several people last Tuesday.

The first incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. in the 1900 block of Spring Garden Street, according to police. A man in his mid-twenties was riding his bicycle when a group of boys and girls tried to push him off.

The group of children then tried to steal his belongings, but the victim escaped unharmed and without being robbed, officials said.

Then, just 45 minutes later, two men in their early thirties were attacked at the corner of 20th and Hamilton Street, according to police. About 15 boys beat, kicked and stomped on the victims.

The victims suffered cuts and bruises and were missing teeth as a result of the incident, investigators said. They were taken to a nearby hospital and are in stable condition.

The third incident occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of North 16th Street, when a man in his mid-thirties was attacked by a group of boys, police said.

According to officials, the victim suffered a broken nose and bruises in the incident and required stitches above the eye.

Investigators say there were no reports of property damage. Officials do not believe cars were used in these incidents.

The investigation is currently ongoing and officials believe that the same group of children aged between 15 and 20 is behind the attacks.
