Two deaths reported, Florence Boulevard closed after accident

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Florence Police Department (FPD) says Florence Boulevard is closed following a crash that left two people dead.

FPD said Florence Boulevard is closed from Broadway Street to Darby Drive following a crash. A department spokesman said there were several injuries in connection with the incident.

Lauderdale County Coroner Kim Jones said she was on her way to the scene Tuesday at 5:25 p.m. She said she was told that two people had died at the scene of the accident but had not yet arrived.
