Rapper Diddy faces new allegations of sexual harassment: Eighth lawsuit filed against him since November

New accusation of sexual assault against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs

Sean “Diddy” Combs, a well-known rapper and entertainment mogul, is facing a new sexual harassment lawsuit. The suit was filed Thursday by April Lampros, who claims she met Combs in 1994 while they were studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

The complaint, filed in New York and published by CNN, describes four incidents of sexual assault allegedly committed by Combs between the mid-1990s and early 2000s. Lampros accuses Combs of physical and emotional abuse and of violating laws protecting against gender-based violence.

In a statement provided to CNN, Lampros expressed her hope for the triumph of justice: “I hope that justice will prevail and the veil will be lifted so that no other woman has to go through what I experienced.”

This is the eighth lawsuit against Combs since November, with the seventh directly related to allegations of sexual harassment. A previous lawsuit brought by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura was settled, while another accuses his son Christian Combs of sexual assault, with Sean Combs accused of aiding and abetting.

According to the lawsuit, Lampros shared her ambitions to work in the fashion industry with Combs and offered to mentor her, but the lawsuit describes Combs as a participant in aggressive, coercive and abusive sexual relationships.

The lawsuit alleges that in one encounter in 1995, Combs forced Lampros to drink at a bar and hotel before raping her. In another incident in a parking lot, Combs allegedly demanded oral sex from Lampros. The lawsuit further alleges that Combs forced Lampros and his ex-girlfriend to participate in sexual activities and threatened them with consequences if they refused.

Lampros, the lawsuit says, continues to suffer physical injuries, severe emotional distress, humiliation and fear as a result of the alleged incidents. The lawsuit also accuses Combs of secretly recording her sexual encounters without consent and attempting to control her behavior.

Representatives for Combs, Bad Boy Records, Arista Records and Sony Music Entertainment, all of which are named as defendants in the lawsuit, have not yet commented on the allegations. The litigation came shortly after model Crystal McKinney accused Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2003.

Combs is currently under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security for possible human trafficking crimes. In March, federal authorities searched his homes in Los Angeles and Miami. Combs’ attorney Aaron Dyer insists his client is innocent, saying, “Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every day to clear his name.”
