SF man arrested in Colma on drug and theft charges

(KRON) – A suspected thief is facing felony theft and drug charges, according to Colma police.

While Colma police were conducting a foot patrol at a store on Colma Boulevard at 9:19 p.m. Saturday, officers noticed a man leaving the store without paying for the merchandise he was carrying.

According to police, loss prevention officers attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect continued to flee on foot. Officers then left the store to arrest the suspect. Although the suspect tried to escape, officers soon arrested him. According to police, suspected methamphetamine was found.

The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Enrique Miranda of San Francisco. According to police, he allegedly stole approximately $57.94 worth of merchandise.

Miranda was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and petty theft.
