There is still a risk of severe storms this evening

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Peyton Sanders says isolated thunderstorms will continue to move across Kansas this evening and there is a risk of severe weather.

Devastating squalls and large hailstones are still possible in storms until the evening. The threat of severe weather will decrease from midnight.

Monday will be warm with highs in the 80s. Isolated thunderstorms are possible near the Nebraska border in the evening and overnight. Some storms could be severe, producing large hail and damaging winds.

A cold front will move through the state on Tuesday. Storms may form along the front over extreme eastern Kansas in the afternoon and evening, but activity will likely continue east of Wichita. Isolated storms are possible if storms occur.

Behind the front, temperatures will become a little cooler during the week, with highs back around 80 degrees.
