Driver arrested after collision kills pedestrian | Local News

One person was killed and another was arrested following a fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision in western Vigo County around 10:45 p.m. Friday.

The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Aaron Ray of West Terre Haute struck a pedestrian in the roadway of Illiana Drive.

The pedestrian died from his injuries at the scene of the accident; A name has not yet been announced.

According to the sheriff’s office, Ray later tested positive for methamphetamine at a hospital and was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resulting in death.
